HollyDish
Hollydish has always had a lot to say, her love affair with words started early in life and the Dish remains a true lyricist. There is a very common theme in all of Holly’s writing, empowering young women,
being painfully honest and full heart exposure.
Born Holly Israella Fagan, HollyDish began recording and performing in 2005 in Vancouver BC
alongside some of VanCity’s biggest DJs and emcees. She returned to Montreal, Canada to lay down her first album only to be swept off by a Hawaiian vacation and spend a year performing in a well established Maui band “Crazy Fingers.” The band including none other than Deon Estus (WAM 80s) on bass
and Rikah (house/dance songstress) on vocals.
After over 100 gigs and an expired visitor’s visa, Dish returned to her home town Montreal and starting recording her first album Dishology. While recording her album, Dish had the honour of meeting
J.C. akaThe ALEPH (lead singer/player/producer of Germany’s “The Mainstream”)
while he was visiting North America.
Both inspired and determined, J.C. and Dish decided to meet in Williamsburg, NY to start recording an album
now known as “Real Eyes Realize Real Lies.”
They met again in Northern Germany and continued recording the last pieces that were missing for the album
on which J.C. long-term buddy and MPC-specialist David Bärschneider aka Bearcutta produced the tracks
'lifeline' and 'too much too soon' an co-produced 'rockmics'
Long distance the team relentlessly perfected vocals and got incredible features on the album
like the Narcicyst and Montreal’s hip hop vet DShade (Shades of Culture) as well as Keurspi (France).
